(I know this isn’t my usual personalized gift idea type of post but I hope you’ll understand this is a special situation dear to my heart and do your part to help if you can.)
CANCER SUCKS! It’s true and it’s all around me right now…my grandmother has stage 4 lung cancer, my best friend’s mother also has stage 4 cancer and another friend is currently fighting breast cancer. Plus this doesn’t even count all of the people I know who have someone in their circle fighting the disease. I would like to have more success stories like my mother and my sister-in-law, both of whom are breast cancer survivors. I’d tired of feeling helpless, please help me with your donation! Dear Friends and Family,
I recently accepted the challenge to raise funds to support the 2008 Komen Tulsa Race for the Cure® on September 20th, 2008 in the fight against breast cancer. The Race benefits the Tulsa Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and works toward fulfilling the Komen Promise: To save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
Last year’s Tulsa’s Race was very successful–more than 9,400 women, men and children participated and helped raise more than $630,000 for the fight against breast cancer! With these funds, the Tulsa Affliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure was able to make a huge impact on breast cancer education, screening, research and the treatment for the underserved in Tulsa and the surrounding community. That’s why I’m racing for a cure.
You can join me in my fight against breast cancer without even breaking a sweat!
Would you please consider a $50 donation to support my efforts?
Your contribution is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
